Just in time for GUADEC (or something), here’s 0.12! In addition to a large number of bug fixes and minor enhancements, this release features a new theme-based color scheme, whois tooltips on nicknames in the main chat area, and google-chat style redundant nickname culling. For those of you who will inevitably hate the nickname change, you can turn it off in gconf at /apps/xchat/main_window/redundant_nickstamps

I woke up this morning (well, afternoon) to find that today was the ubuntu dapper upstream version freeze. Since 0.8 sucks in numerous ways, here’s 0.9, hopefully in time. Enjoy the new features. Available at the downloads page and coming soon to a linux distribution near you.
